Bread Line, Inc. is seeking the Fairbanks community’s help in winning a $25,000 grant from the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program. The Neighborhood Assist program is a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative and 40 grant winners from across the nation will each receive $25,000 to fund their community projects.
Bread Line, Inc’s Stone Soup Community Garden is the only organization in Alaska to be a finalist in the contest.
According to the organization: “$25,000 would ensure funding for our garden for years to come, previously unobtainable goals would be suddenly very possible and our work of feeding Fairbanks’ most vulnerable neighbors would be made exponentially easier.”
Community members must sign-up to vote with the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program with a valid email address. Each person can vote up to 10 times every day between now and August 25.
