Downtown will host numerous First Friday’s this week. All shows runs from 5-8PM unless otherwise noted. While there are no doubt going to be several other First Friday’s at venues not yet listed, this is what we know about as of Thursday, August 31. So, what can you look forward to on First Friday, September 1?
If you are a parent or family with children, be sure to learn about Kids Night In at the Fairbanks Children’s Museum! A great opportunity for your kids to play and learn while you enjoy artwork in downtown Fairbanks.
Alaska House Art Gallery features the paintings and drawings of Claire Fejes. The evening also includes the jewelry of Don Standing Bear and lie music by Ron Veliz.
Co-Op Plaza will host live music by the Pinkgrass Girls from 5-8PM.
Keller Architecture + Allied Arts features the new, experimental artwork of Tamara Wilson. – RSVP
Rings & Things, inside the Co-Op Plaza, showcases country & western music by Trent Zachgo and a display by Permafrost Beards, as well as the Alaskan photos of Rachael Marney, Jesse Davis, and Jason Wysong. – RSVP
McCafferty’s features a performance by the cafe’s house band – Sand Castle. The band performs contemporary folk, rock and retro pop Friday and Saturday nights from 8:30 – 10:30.
