  1. I have been searching for the title of a Claire Fejes painting which I found in a magazine. Unfortunately, I have not been successful. It portrays an eskimo woman dressed in an orange (with multiiple shades of yellow, purple, and crimson) parka. She is outdoors with a river in the background, a barrel and crate in the left background as well. She is mixing something in a large tub with a long pole.

I am a 71-year-old amateur painter attempting to paint this wonderful painting. The school where I am enrolled in art classes periodicallly exhibits the work of its students. I will not exhibit my painting without crediting Claire and the title of her painting. I look forward to hearing from you, Roger L. Berlinguette

  2. Hi Roger! I’ll pass along your question to the owner of Alaska House Art Gallery and, with any luck, she’ll be in touch soon with the exact name of the painting in question. Thanks and good luck!

  3. I have an original piece of art by Claire Fejes. It appears to be pen and ink with some water color. It was signed in 1962 with a handwritten note to Vide Bartlett. The title of the piece appears to be “hoalak mother and baby”. I would like to know more about the piece and what appears to have been a gift to Vide Bartlett.

  4. I have an Original Claire Fejes Pen and watercolor approx. 12 x 14 It was signed to me as a gift
It is dated 1975 and is titled “A Boy Named DADDY at Kotzebue”

Does anyone know anything about this piece of its current value ? It is in Excellent shape.
