Winter Solstice Festival 2008

A DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY TRADITION
We invite you to join us as we help Fairbanks celebrate Winter Solstice on December 21, 2008 from
4pm -8pm in downtown Fairbanks.  This annual downtown tradition marks the joy and hope of the new
season, longer days to come, and the anticipation of a brand new year!

As a family-focused day sure to bring smiles, there will be free presents and Santa photos for every
child under 10.  Enjoy live music, carols, the famous Downtown Solstice Treasure Hunt, hot cocoa 'n
cookies, and the wonderful Downtown Window Decorating Competition.

FIREWORKS!  Celebrate the solstice with a celestial-reaching bang to culminate the turning-point of
winter with Santa at 7:45pm in Griffin Park.
