HISTORY IN THE MAKING At 11am, Feb. 9, the 2008 race started on the Chena River in Fairbanks, Alaska despite the bite of -50F temperatures! 10 days, 12 hours, and 14 minutes later, Lance Mackey and his 14 brave huskeys MUSHED 1,000 MILES OF ARCTIC WILDERNESS ALONE to cross the finish line in Whitehorse, YT, winning their 4th consecutive Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. |
