Fairbanks-based photographer and filmmaker Sarah Manriquez uses photography as a tool for education, advocacy and as an agent of change. Her artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues, and addresses themes that often confront the viewer and urge them to consider perspectives different from their own. In her artist talk, Sarah is going to share insights into her work with the Through Our Eyes project, a nation-wide effort which encourages individuals affected by homelessness to share their story through photography.
