First Friday – Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center

August 4, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Anne learned to appreciate the natural world around her by spending plenty of time outdoors while growing up on a farm in Michigan. The only way to experience and capture the uniqueness of a place is by viewing it at different times of the day and seasons. She tries to capture that uniqueness in her paintings and enjoys painting el plein air.

Dee Carpenter is an award-winning self-taught artist. Since she began to paint in 2005, her passion for wildlife has only grown. She has been a realistic painter since the beginning and likes to create surrealistic backgrounds with realistic subjects.

Come meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments from 5 – 8 p.m. as you browse through the artwork.
