Alaska Songbird Institute Saturday Series

Madagascar, a Texas-sized island in the Indian Ocean, separated from East Africa and the Indian Subcontinent 88 million years ago. The island’s large size and isolation have given rise to a unique flora and fauna, such as adorable lemurs, exotic chameleons, and endemic birds like vangas and couas. Join us for an introduction to the natural history and conservation challenges of the ” Eight Continent”. Presented by Philip Martin.
