April First Friday Downtown

Your one-stop preview for all of Downtown’s First Friday festivities! Come out this month and experience interactive art, fabric, stained glass, and sculpting; a thesis show, delicious local fare, a dance with live music, a birthday celebration, plenty of good imbibing, and even an inaugural First Friday! Enjoy these offerings and more. Park in the garage on Lacey and everything is within walking distance! The forecast calls for sunshine and warmth this Friday night, and what better way to kickoff Alaskan spring than a walk around downtown?

Venue showcases the mug makings of Fairbanks Potters Guild plus delicious food and beverages from 5-9 pm

MOJO Music Studios is hosting a date night event with live music featuring Diamon Fuller, beginning at 7 pm.

Fairbanks Regional Public Health Center presents “AK Breastfeeds,” highlighting the works of local artists who depict the beauty of breastfeeding! Starts at 5 pm.

Fairbanks Arts hosts their Spring juried exhibition, Whimsy, in Bear Gallery at 5 pm. 

Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center holds space for two artists this month: the stained glass work of Laurel Devaney, and the fabric work of Kathryn King; begins at 5 pm.

2 Street Gallery is turning 6, and there will be art and champagne! Be there to celebrate with them between 5-8 pm.

If Only…a fine store is offering an interactive art experience this month with hosts Rebecca Morse, Polly Bryant, and Connie Stricks. You’ll be learning paper folding techniques for small books.

GOOD Cannabis celebrates their first ever First Friday event with the sculptures of Anvil Williamson and yummy eats from Little Owl CafĂ© at their shop on 3rd and Old Steese from 7-11 pm. 

Well Street Art Company hosts, “What Heights What Depths,” a thesis exhibit by Sarah Day Cash, and features prints, sculptures, and jewelry that captures the breadth of the human condition. 

Fairbanks Community/Dog Mushing Museum is also participating in First Friday this month with a show hosted by Denali Long Spruce Studio.
