August Events in Downtown

Solstice Books features a conversation with author Marybeth Holleman and artist Kes Woodward on August 13 at 6PM. They will discuss Woodward’s novel Bloom Again, as well as the Alaska Literary Field Guide, which features art by Woodward and was edited by Holleman.
Humble Roots Beer Project hosts their first-ever Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament on August 15 at 5PM. A sign-up form can be found online. Pro controllers will be provided and there is “no need to bring anything but yourself and an appetite for beer and SMASH.”
Visit Golden Heart Plaza on August 20 at 4PM for the Downtown Market. This will be the last market of the season!
End of Line food truck park will celebrate its 1 Year Anniversary with a party on August 22 from 4-7PM!
Solstice Books hosts poets Mistee St. Clair and Annie Wenstrup on August 28 at 6PM. The poets will read their works and discuss their creative process.
