Grab your best suit, wide-brimmed fedora, and bespoke dancing shoes…it’s time for the return of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy! The swingsters will perform Friday, September 16 at 7:30pm inside the Hering Auditorium. The event is hosted by the Fairbanks Concert Association and will kick-off the organizations 2016/17 season of great concerts.

Since the band hit the scene in the early nineties, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has reminded the world that it’s still cool to swing! With appearances in film, the Super Bowl and some legendary residencies, the band was at the forefront of the swing revivalĀ  and blends a vibrant fusion of the classic American sounds of jazz, swing, and Dixieland with the energy and spirit of contemporary culture. Their high-energy holiday show in Fairbanks (in 2011) was sensational, necessitating that they make another appearance in 2016!

Tickets for the show can be purchased online, by calling Alaska Tix at 490-2858, or at Grassroots Guitar on College Road.

Season tickets for all Fairbanks Concert Association events are still available through both the FCA office and online.

The Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert is sponsored by The Offices of Dr. Phyllis Pendergrast, Charles Lemke, Dr. Hannah Summerfelt, and Sourdough Fuel.
