Agribusiness workshop
FEDC will host an agribusiness workshop on February 27. AgriLogic Consulting, a developer of numerous crop insurance programs for the USDA, will be conducting a FREE workshop for agricultural producers in Alaska. The goal of this workshop is to encourage producers to become familiar with crop insurance and other federal programs available to them. This workshop is free and open to all agricultural producers interested in protecting and sustaining their farming investment. [RSVP]

Tuesday Tasting
On February 28, Lavelle’s Bistro will host another Tuesday Tasting. This event will feature wines from Bronco Wines. Along with the wines attendees will be drinking the Lavelle’s kitchen will cook-up a generous array of tasty treats. This tasting starts at 7PM. Downtown rally
On March 3, the Key Coalition of Alaska will host a rally celebrating 30 years of advocating for Alaskans with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The rally will be held at the Sadler’s Building in downtown Fairbanks from Noon to 1. This rally is open to the public. [RSVP]

Dancing at the Firehouse Theatre!
UAF’s Dance REVolution Crew will host their Second Annual Choreographers Showcase inside Edna Wise Firehouse Theatre! The crew and the dance community of Fairbanks have come together to bring to you a show as unique as its performers. There will be styles for all to enjoy and the show is perfect for the whole family. The showcase will actually be a TWO DAY EVENT this year with an evening show on March 3rd at 7pm and two shows on March 4th…at 2pm and 7pm. All shows will feature an intermission with concessions. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any Dance REVolution Crew member, showcase performer, or with cash at the Dance Theatre Fairbanks front desk. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the day of the events. [RSVP]

Curling Club
On March 4, the Fairbanks Curling Club will host 2017 Club Nationals. Twenty curling teams will be coming to Fairbanks from the Lower 48 for a national competition. The public is invited to watch this free event. There will be curling games Sunday through Thursday. Semi-final games will be played on Friday, March 10 and the finals will be on Saturday, March 11. The bar will, of course, be open in the evenings. [RSVP]

No ONAC downtown
In other news, the GCI Open North American Championship will be held at the Musher’s Hall on Farmer’s Loop and not downtown due to problems with ice conditions.

Noble Street construction underway
Despite the fact it’s February, work on reconstructing Noble St has already begun. Crews have begun relocating electric poles to make way for road and sidewalk improvements which will begin this summer.
