Electricity costs in Interior Alaska are among the largest “fixed costs” for homeowners and businesses alike. The thing is, the costs are not fixed. Golden Valley’s rates have been high and threatening to go higher for years now.
At its April 9th Board of Director’s meeting, the Downtown Association endorsed Frank Eagle’s run for the Golden Valley Board. His reliability, positivity and business sense have been an asset to the Downtown Association over the years and we think those same qualities suit him for District 4.
You can support Frank – or meet Frank – at the GVEA Annual Member’s Meeting on Thursday, May 3rd at Hering Auditorium at Lathrop High School. Registration starts at 5:00pm with the business meeting starting at 6:30. More information can be found here. But mostly, says Frank, “You can learn about how GVEA is run and by whom.” GVEA’s current Board of Directors will be at the meeting, as will the candidates who are running for the Board.
