Each spring, poetry enthusiasts gather at the historic site of Chatanika Gold Dredge #3 at 29 mile Steese Highway to share in the joy of poetry and prose through the reading of original works and favorites by others. This year’s Poetry at the Dredge will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 2:00-4:00 PM.
Fairbanks Arts Association’s Poetry at the Dredge is open to the public each year, with the purpose of the event being to encourage, celebrate, and enjoy poetry new and old in a quintessential Alaskan setting during National Poetry Month.
