The Chinese New Year Celebration has been an ongoing campus event for over 10 years, celebrating the culture and unique diversity our international students, faculty, staff, and community members bring to University of Alaska Fairbanks campus and the Fairbanks region.
With a history of over 2000 years, the Lantern Festival is one of China’s most romantic and traditional celebrations, and it marks the final day of the Lunar New Year celebrations.
“Love” is the theme of this year’s Chinese Lantern Festival Celebration.
There will be Chinese dishes for buffet dinner, along with 50+ door prizes, live performances, and traditional activities.
On Saturday, Feb. 18, 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the UAF Wood Center ballroom, join us with your friends and family for a celebration of light, culture, and love!
