Last spring, six people stepped into their racing skis and traversed the Seward Peninsula from Shishmaref to Nome, crossing parts of Bering Land Bridge National Preserve. Faced with freezing temperatures and high winds, the group stopped to rejuvenate in the preserve’s remote and relaxing Serpentine and Pilgrim Hot Springs. Ned Rozell and his adventurous companions knew that they would have many stories to tell upon their return.
Join Ned Rozell of Fairbanks for an hour-long free presentation as he traces his ski tracks across the frozen tundra of northwestern Alaska.
Free! Saturday, February 27th at 4pm at the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center in downtown Fairbanks.
