You are invited to attend the unveiling of the Cleary Family display, in the large showcase at the Noel Wien Public Library.
Have you ever wondered where than name Cleary came from and what happened to them? The Cleary family goes back to the very origins of our Golden Heart City of Fairbanks. This unique and informative display will show where they came from, and how surprisingly connected this family was, and it’s historical impact on Fairbanks.
Our guest of honor will be Lorraine Robertson, who is 2nd great grandniece to E.T. and Isabelle (Cleary) Barnette, the founders of Fairbanks; and Frank Cleary of Cleary Creek and Cleary Summit fame. Her Great Grandparents, Archibald and Susie (Cleary) MacAurthur, lived in Fairbanks as well.
Lorraine and her husband, Bruce will unveil the display, and we can all celebrate learning about her family’s interesting and relevant history here in the Golden Heart City.
Light refreshments will be served.
If you cannot make this event, come see the display during library hours in the month of August.
