The Alaska Railroad will release its 2016 annual poster/print at a sale-and-signing event featuring Alaska artist Jason Vukovich who will sign the prints and posters during the railroad’s Fairbanks First Friday event from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 4 at the Fairbanks Depot. Vukovich’s print – entitled Lights Above Houston – are based on an original watercolor painting depicting an Alaska Railroad locomotive moving into a winter landscape with a dog sled team and the northern lights shimmering overhead.
