First Friday: Art Battle

Are you ready for our first battle of the 2016?

Then get ready for Art Battle 4 Orlando? If you missed out last time, here’s your chance to check out some of the greatest art Fairbanks has to offer. Or better yet, make you own.

This time around, we are battling for a cause. The winning piece will be auctioned off on July 2 at Venue will all proceeds going to the Pulse survivors.

Create art for the chance to win $300 CASH AND raise money for survivors of the Pulse shooting.

In exchange for a $20 entry fee, artists (or teams of artists) will get a large piece of plywood in a size and shape unknown until the day of the competition. They will be rather large and will have one side that is at least 4ft. On the day of the battle, artists will draw a number to pick their plywood canvas. Bring any and all supplies for use in your piece. Your only limitation is 3 and 1/2 hours. At 11:30pm, the crowd will cast votes for their favorite piece. The art with the most votes wins the money.

$5 door with proceeds from Art Battle going to the Orlando survivors. There will also be $5 event parking at the parking authority, if you park in the garage, bring your parking ticket and receive FREE entry to the event.
