First Friday: Vladimir Zhikhartsev

For First Friday, 2 Street Gallery will host an exciting new art exhibit: Denalifest! The event is a showcase of new watercolors by artist Vladimir Zhikhartsev.
Zhikhartsev has painted a wide-range of Alaska and is well-regarded for his landscapes. He was inspired by his return to Denali National Park the same week the mountain was officially renamed. Zhikhartsev captures the parks natural beauty on location and then completes these magnificent works of art in his Fairbanks studio.
“I think that painting on location is a must for every landscape painter,” he said. “While you painting you can feel the place, smell the fresh air and observe all the life around you.”
Return to Denali with Vladimir and join the artists at 2 Street Gallery for an evening of music, food, drink and beautiful art!
