Opening Reception: Katie Ione Craney & Kristy Summers

In June, the Bear Gallery will be shared by two artists exhibiting their intriguing mixed media works. Katie Ione Craney, who created her exhibition “Landfalls” in response to Alaska women writer and storytellers, reflects on how climate change is processed through artistic work. Kristy Summers, a sculptor living and working in Anchorage, uses mixed media to create intriguing sculptures in her exhibition “Somewhere between here and there”.
