Two Points of View: Wood, Cooper and Fish

This is a collaborative show by Jenifer Cameron and David Personius. Both artists explore new ways to represent Alaska’s fish using cedar and copper. David’s hand carved 3-Dimensional fish reflect his folk art background where native populations fashioned “decoys” from local materials to aid in the harvesting of abundant fish. Jenifer’s work is the first in a “Smokehouse”series that focuses on the influence of the pull of gravity on hanging fish, along with the colors of harvest and smoke.
