Vacant Spaces to Happening Places

Join FEDC, the Downtown Association of Fairbanks, FNSB, and the Chamber of Commerce for lunch and the keynote address, “Vacant Spaces to Happening Places,” delivered by renowned ‘Think Local’ advocate and entrepreneur, Kimber Lanning.

Program highlights include:

•Quantifying the impact of local economy work and preservation

•The link between preservation, infill development, and economic development

•Spatial characteristics and economic development and resilience

•Aligning real estate and economic development policies for job creation and talent retention

•The business case for adaptive reuse of buildings

•The importance of community banks in financing unique urban spaces

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 15 at 12:00 at Raven Landing, doors open at 11:00. Registration is $20 before November 1st (and goes up to $25 after that date) and includes lunch and entry in our door prize drawing. But it’s free if you’d just like to come and listen. You can pay by calling FEDC (452-2185) and we can take your credit card information, stop by the office with payment, or send a check to 330 Wendell Ave, Suite E, 99701 and in the memo line write “Kimber”.
