Join PPH Alaska in welcoming a team of U.S. Army Veterans along their journey riding motorcycles from the Arctic Circle to the tip of South America, crossing the infamous Darien Gap in the process. The team will overcome subzero temperatures, sweltering heat, and miles of untamed jungle to complete an expedition which can only be considered an ultimate test of will.
The Darien Gap is a 100-mile swath of jungle, and the only break in 17,000 miles of highway from Alaska to Argentina.
Beginning 250 miles north of the Arctic Circle, the team members and their support elements will travel from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina, via the Darien Gap. They will be the first to do so by motorcycle.
There have been only three transcontinental expeditions through the Darien Gap. All three were completed in Jeep and Land Rover SUVs.
