The Downtown Association of Fairbanks is hosting a downtown property open house today from 4-8 PM. The event showcases retail, office, and residential properties for rent in the downtown core.
To join the open house, take a self-guided tour of the participating properties using a mobile-friendly map or with a physical map available at the season finale Downtown Market in Golden Heart Plaza.
The Downtown Association will pay up to $6,000 towards first months’ rent to the lessor on a first-come, first-served basis on contracts of at least 12-months that originate less than 90 days from September 18. The open house is a contribution to economic development whose aim is to increase occupancy rates downtown. The event follows the lead of City and Borough governments whose policy initiatives incentivize development in the downtown area.

Friendly Parking Program Adds Another Parking Lot. The Jimmy Huntington Building enrolled their eastern parking lot between 3rd and 4th Avenues to ease after hours parking downtown by inviting the public to park there after hours. This parking lot joins four other lots downtown devoted to shared parking. Learn more about the program or enroll your lot here.
