EXTRAORDINARY FIRST FRIDAY DOWNTOWN

share on:

First Fridays Downtown have blossomed into a vibrant bouquet of artists and musicians. The number of venues participating is on the rise, and we have been welcoming additional businesses every month. Newcomers include; Connie’s, In the Bag, and Co-Op Arts which have all started participating in First Friday Downtown recently. The October 1st First Friday will be no exception- as both  l’ assiette de Pomegranate and The Red Couch are planning their First Friday Downtown debut.

Now there are more reasons than ever to come downtown and walk from one artistic scene to another, check out the new places, and visit those that have a spot on the long established First Friday Downtown route-like The Alaska House Art Gallery, If Only…a fine store, Chartreuse and the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitor Center. After you have been inspired by all the artwork, why not pay a visit to a venue that is showcasing the musical arts? McCafferty’s, Lavelle’s, Bobby’s and a Space for Movement all present talented individual musicians and groups for your listening pleasure.  And while you are out enjoying the music why not have a bite to eat or a beverage– go ahead and make an entire evening of First Friday Downtown, we promise you won’t be disappointed.
