Are you all alone with a great idea for a product or a business in your head? Then make sure to join Startup Weekend Fairbanks.

The Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) hosts the 4th Annual Startup Weekend Fairbanks on Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25. The even will be at The Hub (a co-working space) in downtown Fairbanks. Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs meet to share ideas and launch start-ups in a risk-free environment. If you’re an inventor, developer, designer, tinkerer, maker, investor, student, engineer (or anything else, for that matter) than stop by and help launch Fairbanks’ next local business!

How does it work? Startup Weekends begin with an open-mic 60-second pitch, then teams form around the best, most viable business ideas. Teams spend Saturday and Sunday focusing on customer development, market validation of their ideas and building prototypes with the help of experienced mentors. On Sunday, teams demo their products and services before receiving valuable feedback from a panel of business experts. Meals are provided and participants will have access to co-working space, mentors, and resources.

$99 for General Public/$49.50 for Military and Seniors. Students are FREE. Scholarships are available for Alaska Native participants.
