The Fairbanks Community and Dog Mushing Museum will celebrate its grand re-opening this Friday. The museum will be opening at its new home inside the Empress Theater.
For First Friday, the museum will feature a photographic tribute to musher George Attla, as well as an exhibit on the Iditarod and the Open North American Championship. The exhibits will include artwork, photographs and memorabilia from the trail. The grand re-opening will be a weekend-long affair, running from Friday through Monday. Admission to the museum is free on Friday.
