“Kindan-no/The Forbidden Pool”
(Jp. for ‘forbidden‘)
Hannah Foss
Design Statement:
This image portrays a fierce monster reaching into a a forbidden pool- maybe of youth, maybe of knowledge.
His ferocious array of horns, fangs, claws and tentacles resonate against the sea-dark background and glowing forbidden pool. There is always a barrier (whether real or imagined) when one encounters a known forbidden entity. This monster pushes beyond the edge of his confines, and dares to live and explore beyond barriers.
