The 2019 Midnight Sun Festival

share on:

Downtown Fairbanks will host the 38th Midnight Sun Festival celebration on Sunday, June 23, from noon-midnight! Alaska’s largest single-day event, the Festival attracts more than 30,000 people to downtown Fairbanks.

Join us for more than forty live performances throughout the day featuring Matthew Read, Rye, Psychedelic Machine, Tony Taylor The Artist & Muzik Medicine, Dance Theatre Fairbanks, Dance REVolution Crew, C3 Praise and Awaken Antagonist.

The Festival also features nearly 200 booths offering a variety of shopping and eating opportunities including BAO Town, Shave Ice Sisters, The Hungry Robot, The Pretzel Chef, Charms by CJ, Alaskan Soda Jerk, AK Crave and Zorba on the Run. Family and kids’ activities abound – pony rides, bouncy house, gold panning and A1 Midway.

Newest this year, Goldie’s Garden, the official drink lounge of the Festival, will be located near Lacey Street and 1st Avenue at the MAC Federal Credit Union Stage and will feature signature cocktails and craft beer from Midnight Sun Brewing Company. There will also be beer tents at Lavelle’s Taphouse and Soapy Smith’s Pioneer Restaurant, both on 2nd Avenue.

The Festival will provide handicapped-accessible restrooms. There will also be $5 all-day parking in the Parking Garage.

The official 2019 logo, designed by Nathan Belz, will be available on mint, peach or turquoise unisex t-shirts.  Men’s and women’s cut tank tops are available in heathered gray. All shirts will be available for $20 each at the Design Alaska Headquarters Booth on 2nd Avenue during the event or at Big Ray’s while supplies last. Thanks to Nomadic Stars for being the official screenprinter of the Midnight Sun!
